One of the easiest parts of photographing a major convention is capturing subjects on stage during keynotes and major presentations, because the lighting is always very good, and the backgrounds are usually well designed and beautiful.
In this photo it was easy to position myself so that one of the diagonal stripes on the LED intersects with the sitting man who is facing the camera, demonstrating one of the tricks of good composition - move yourself to get things to point to your subject.
